Delores Catherine Gore, 49, of the 700 block of Palmer St., a retired secretary, died March 12, 1995, in her residence.
She was born on Jan. 14, 1946, in Portsmouth and was retired from Federal City College, Washington, D.C. She was also retired from the City of Portsmouth after 3 1/2 years. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church and a graduate of I.C. Norcom High School.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth E. Gore Sr.; her mother, Vivian L. Gore; her father, Wilbert C. Gore Sr.; two brothers, Wilbert C. Gore Jr. and S.M. Sgt. Glene L. Gore; a grandson, Kenneth E. Gore Jr.; two sisters-in-law, Carol M. Gore and Carolyn R. Gore; a great-aunt; three aunts; two uncles; nieces, nephews, great-nieces; and a host of cousins and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. John Baptist Church by the Rev. Johnnie Jones. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. The family will be at the residence. The body will be placed in church at 1 p.m. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
