Joyce Louise Tabron Brown, 49, of the 6600 block of Sewells Point Road, died March 11, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mrs. Brown was born in Norfolk, the daughter of Annie White Tabron and the late James R. Tabron Sr. She was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church and the choir. She retired from the Norfolk public schools, housekeeping department at Norview High School, after four years.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Milton E. Brown Sr.; a daughter, Renetta D. Brown of Norfolk; two sons, Milton E. Brown Jr. and Tracy D. Brown, both of Norfolk; two sisters, Deloris Tabron Lyons of Baltimore and Doris Drumgold of Chesapeake; two brothers, James R. Tabron Jr. of Virginia Beach and Joseph E. Tabron of Norfolk; and five grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in New Calvary Baptist Church, 800 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, by the Rev. G.G. Campbell Jr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Riddick Funeral Service. The body will placed in church at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
