WILLIAM H. BABB

William H. ``Billy'' Babb, 57, of the 1700 block of Canton Ave., a truck driver, died March 10, 1995.

Mr. Babb was born in Princess Anne County and was a former member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, a member of the Senior Choir and an original lead singer of the M&W Gospel Singers.

Survivors include his mother, Corine Williams, and stepfather, Dennis Williams; a brother, Charlie L. Babb; his foster mother, Lela Burden; a cousin, Lela E. Alston; two aunts, Elizabeth White and Minnie Scott, both of Norfolk; an uncle, Sinclair Babb of New York; and a host of cousins and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk, by the Rev. Joseph Lassiter. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A wake service will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at 1734 Canton Ave., Norfolk, at 11 a.m. Wednesday for the funeral processional to the chapel.
