George Stanley Smith Sr., 81, of Virginia Beach, a retired electrician, died March 12, 1995, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.
Mr. Smith was a native of Princess Anne County and attended Open Door Chapel. He was retired from the Naval Air Rework Facility after 34 years.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine S. Smith; a daughter, Gail S. Harris; and two sons, Alpheus E. Smith and George S. Smith Jr., all of Virginia Beach; a sister, Irma Bailey of Knotts Island, N.C.; and seven grandchildren, Rocky Smith, Jeff Harris, Jennifer, Sonny, David, Philip and Katie Smith.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Open Door Chapel by the Rev. Doug Ross. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be at Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
