MORRISON TO RUN FOR COURT CLERK

Cynthia Morrison, wife of Circuit Court Judge Johnny Morrison, has announced her candidacy for the office of Circuit Court Clerk.

Morrison, a Democrat, will be running against a fellow Democrat and current clerk, Walter M. ``Square'' Edmonds, in a June 13 primary to determine who will represent the party in the November election.

Edmonds has been clerk for 25 years. Morrison, 41, is a supervisor with Bell Atlantic of Virginia. by CNB
