THE FINAL FOUR is set.
Well at least for the Virginia State Group AA boys it is.
For the second straight season the Nansemond River Warriors have advanced to the semifinals where they will face Region III runner-up Liberty-Bedford Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Liberty University's Vines Center.
Region III champ Northside will meet Region II champ Caroline in the other semifinal following the Nansemond River game.
Northside coach Bill Pope remembers the 1991-92 state champion Warriors well. It was his Vikings that lost to the Warriors in the title game that year and from what he has heard, the 1994-95 version is very similar.
``I look at those scores and they have those two kids (Antoine Willie and Montoria Valentine) and they sound tough,'' Pope said, adding that he would have no complaints about a title rematch on Saturday afternoon. ILLUSTRATION: Staff photos by MICHAEL KESTNER
