Harvey M. Dickson Sr., 74, formerly of Norfolk, died Tuesday, March 14, 1995, in his St. Charles, Mo., residence, where he had been residing with his family since 1991.
Mr. Dickson retired from Continental Insurance Co. in 1982 after 33 years of service. Mr. Dickson was born in Norfolk and was preceded in death by his two older brothers, Horace and Kirk, as well as his parents, Beatrice Kirk and Horace Kramer Dickson. He was named after his grandfather who was a former Mayor of the City of Norfolk. He was a graduate of Maury High School and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the infantry as a lieutenant.
Survivors include his wife, Molly Dickson; a son, Harvey Jr. ``Rick'' and his wife, Janis; and three granddaughters, Elizabeth, Jenny and Anna Grace, all of St. Charles, Mo.; and two sisters, Edythe Mathews of Norfolk and Beatrice Marlow of Gasburg, Va.
A graveside service with military honors will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Hampton National Cemetery. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
