John H. Yeoman, Sr., 68, retired chief petty officer, died March 14, 1995.
A native of Wilmington, North Carolina, he was a member of Brown's AME Church.
Survivors are his wife, Jerrene Cuffey Yeoman of Smithfield; 1 daughter: Joahn Y. Brown of Smithfield; 1 son: retired Major John H. Yeoman, II, state of Kuwait; 3 sisters: Louise Y. Gore and Marion Y. Morris both of Wilmington, NC, Catheryne Y. Arledge of Greensboro, NC; 3 brothers: Perry O. Yeoman of Leland, NC, Lawrence R. Yeoman of Greensboro, NC, Alexander Yeoman of Hampton; 5 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at Brown's AME Church, Smithfield, by Rev. Queen E. Snell. Burial with military rites will be in Emmanuel Baptist Church Cemetery.
