Survivors include his mother, Yolanda Elbon Chafin; his father, John Steven Chafin; a brother, Brannon Marland of Virginia Beach; paternal grandparents, Ed and Ellen Chafin of Savannah, Ga.; maternal grandmother, Myrtle H. Elbon of San Diego, Calif.; maternal grandfather, C.D. Elbon of Chesapeake; and two uncles, Jeff and Greg Chafin of Savannah, Ga.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake, by Chaplain Otey. Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
