Dorothy Mae Swanson, 72, of the 4800 block of Wycliff Road, died March 15, 1995, in her residence.
She was a native of Bridge Port, Pa., worked for Sweethaven Day Care and School for 10 years and was a member of Alexander Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Wayne Swanson; three daughters, Carole S. Roy, Gloria J. Stallings of Portsmouth and Dolores S. Leggett of Mechanicsville, Va.; a son, Robert Wayne Swanson Jr. of Portsmouth; seven sisters; one brother; four granddaughters, Carole S. Golden, Kathy L. Claytor, Laura L. Harris and Nancy R. Grooms; and two great-grandsons, Shannon Dylan Harris and Travis Lee Claytor.
A funeral will be conducted at 2p.m. Friday at Alexander Baptist Church by the Rev. Alan Moor and the Rev. Charles Hoffler. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland.
