EVA M. ATKINSON

Eva Mae Atkinson, of the 2300 block of Kennon Ave., a retired cook, died March 14, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Mrs. Atkinson was born in Greenville, N.C. She retired from the Naval Exchange and was a member of Queen Street Baptist Church and the senior choir.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest Atkinson; three daughters, Doris Tyson of Washington, D.C., Eula Tyson and Audrey Hatfield, both of Norfolk; a sister, Lassie Bell Brizzell of Greenville, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Queen Street Baptist Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Peter Wheary. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Arrangements by Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. today. She will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Family will assemble at the residence at 12:30 p.m. for the processional.
