JOSEPH P. HOLDEN

Joseph P. ``Joe'' Holden, 60, of the 200 block of Sedgefield Ave., died March 14, 1995, in Sentara Leigh Hospital.

He was a native of New Hampshire and was a retired engineer with the Naval Underseas Warfare Center, Norfolk Detachment of the Newport Division. He had served there for 15 years. He was a member of Calvary Chapel of Hampton Roads in Virginia Beach and the Retired Naval Officers' Association. He had retired from the U.S. Navy after 15 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars.

Survivors include his wife, Marge Holden; two daughters, Gail Tino of Michigan and Linda Rowe of Williamsburg, Va.; eight sons, Michael Holden of Hampton, Peter and James Holden of Williamsburg, Robert Holden of New Hampshire, Joseph P. Holden II of Ohio, Patrick Holden of Charlotte, N.C., and Thomas and Michael McCloskey of Michigan; his father, John F. Anthony of Massachusetts; one sister, Janice Connell of Massachusetts; three brothers, John Anthony of California, James Anthony of Massachusetts, and Jerry Anthony of Texas; and 12 grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kellum Funeral Home, Pleasant Hall Chapel, 5184 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, by Pastors Brad Hill and Joey Buran. Burial will be at Rosewood Memorial Park with full military honors. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
