ROBERT A. CROSBY

Robert Arville Crosby, 65, of the 400 block of Cabot St., died March 16, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.

Mr. Crosby was a native of Osage, Minn. He was retired from Harbor Master-Va. Pilots Association. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Chesapeake.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Crosby; one daughter, Rita C. Cooper and her husband, William of Portsmouth; one son, James Conner of Chesapeake; two sisters, Betty Swenson of Vancouver, Wash., and Ellie Cochran of Park Rapids, Mich.; one brother, Edward Crosby of Minneapolis, Minn.; and three grandchildren, Erica Cooper of Portsmouth and Ashlee and Sara Conner of Chesapeake.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 1995 at 1 p.m. in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel by the Rev. Allen L. Dooley. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Sturtevant Funeral Home this evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Temple Baptist Church.
