Clifton Wright Cason, 62, of Shell Knob, Mo., died at 5:29 p.m. Monday, March 13, 1995, at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Springfield, Mo., from a brief illness.
Mr. Cason, son of Clifton Stewart and Sadie Allen Cason, was born August 29, 1932, in Norfolk, Va. He moved to Shell Knob from Witchita, Kansas, in November of 1994. He was a Navy and Air Force veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War. Mr. Cason formerly owned Hansel and Gretel's Pancake House in Virginia Beach, Va. He was a maintenance supervisor at Willow Creek Apartments, Witchita. Mr. Cason was a member of the Central Community United Methodist Church, Shell Knob. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4809, Norfolk, and of the Moose Lodge, Virginia Beach.
He married Louise Jackson in Witchita, Kansas. She survives.
Additional survivors include four sons, Jeff Baldwin and Dwayne Baldwin, both of Witchita, Kansas, James Bauer of Olathe, Kansas, and Steven Bauer of Las Vegas, Nevada; four daughters, Paula Goldthwait of Chesapeake, Va., Linda Jenson of Witchita, Kansas, Janelle Gamber and Raenona McGrew, both of Witchita, Kansas; his mother, Sadie Allen Cason of Virginia Beach, Va.; three brothers, Ronald Cason and David Cason, both of Virginia Beach, Va., and Aubrey Cason of Montgomery, Alabama; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Lee Cason.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 16, 1995, at the Central Community United Methodist Church, Shell Knob, with the Rev. James Lee officiating. Burial was at the National Cemetery, Springfield.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Williamson Funeral Home, Shell Knob, Mo.
