OLD TIRES REMOVED FROM MARSH

The removal of more than 4,000 old tires from a marsh along the

shoulder of the Camden Causeway on U.S. 158 east of Elizabeth City

began Thursday. The cleanup is being coordinated by the Albemarle

Resource, Conservation and Development Council, Pasquotank and

Camden counties and Elizabeth City.
