AUSTIN NAMED TO COMMITTEE

Dare County Sheriff Albert L. ``Bert'' Austin has been selected to serve as an executive committee member of the Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee.

The appointment was announced by Janice McKenzie Cole, the United States attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina.

``The organization plays a major role in the implementation of the criminal justice system,'' Austin said. ``I look forward to participating in the important work of the executive committee.'' by CNB
