Mary Elizabeth McDaniel, 80, of the 300 block of Saunders Drive, died March 17, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
She was a native of Washington, D.C., and was the widow of James Edward McDaniel. Mrs. McDaniel was a member of United Congregational Christian Church in Portsmouth.
Survivors include a daughter, Jacqueline M. McDaniel of Alexandria, Va.; four grandchildren, John Pilkenton, Kenneth Pilkenton, Laurie Pilkenton and Nancy Pilkenton; and three great-grandchildren, Sean, Tyler and Raina.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday in United Congregational Christian Church by the Rev. Dolan Talbert. Burial will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, in Arlington National Cemetery. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
