John Matthew ``Mack'' Anderson, 73, a native of Elizabeth City, N.C., and a Peninsula resident since 1967, died Sunday, March 12, 1995 in Hampton.
Mr. Anderson was a manager at People's Drug Store and was employed at Chase Bag Company before retirement. He was a member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Hampton, and a member of the Vesta Goode Sunday School Class.
He is survived by two aunts, Frances Anderson Hewitt of Virginia Beach and Shirley Copeland of Currituck, N.C.; two uncles, James S. Anderson and Garland W. Anderson, both of Elizabeth City; and a friend, Mae Redd of Tabb. He was preceded in death by his parents, John L. Anderson and Edna Matthews Anderson, both of Elizabeth City.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in First Christian Church, 1458 Todds Lane, Hampton, by the Rev. Wayne A. Warren. Arrangements are by Peninsula Funeral Home.
