EDWARD R. LAND

Edward Robert ``Eddie'' Land, 75, of the 5100 block of Cypress Point Circle, an AFLAC insurance agent, died March 17, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Land was a native of Portsmouth, and a resident of Tidewater for all of his life. He was a member of Congregation Beth El. Mr. Land was a member of The Million Dollar Round Table Club; Norfolk Life Underwriters Association; a 32nd degree Mason with St. John's Masonic Lodge (NU)1, New Bern, N.C.; Scottish Rite Bodies and Sudan in New Bern; charter member of the Ladder of Smiles; AFLAC Presidents Club; and vice president of North East Territory for AFLAC.

Survivors include his wife and friend for 50 years, Sonia Goldstein Land of Virginia Beach; Mrs. Pearl Rubin of Portsmouth; and many wonderful friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Rabbi Arthur Ruberg and Cantor Jacob Tessler. The family will receive friends at the residence. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice or the Ronald McDonald House. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, is handling arrangements.
