Betty Jean (Evans) Field, 64, of the 3900 block of Davis St., died March 16, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Field was born in Sarcoxie, Mo. She was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church and was self-employed in geriatric care.
Survivors include three daughters, Diane Grace of Norfolk, Brenda Evans of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Connie Murphy of Virginia Beach; four sons, James M. Evans of Suffolk, Raymond E. Evans Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla., David M. Evans of Chesapeake and George R. Evans of Norfolk; two sisters, Shirley Dickens of St. Joseph, Mo., and Barbara Baker of Independence, Mo.; two brothers, Joe A. Jacques of St. Joseph, Mo., and Donald H. Jacques of Independence, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Ingleside Baptist Church, Norfolk, by the Rev. Peter McLewin. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel. The family will receive friends at Raymond E. Evans Sr., 958 Elgo St., Norfolk, from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
