Steven Parker, 39, of the 2300 block of Elliott Ave., died March 15, 1995, in Portsmouth.
Mr. Parker was born in Portsmouth and was a member of Third Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include a son, Steve L. Edwards of Portsmouth; his mother, Marion Parker of Portsmouth; five sisters, Cynthia Parker, Charlotte Parker, Gloria Parker and Deborah Bazemore, all of Portsmouth, and Linda Cameron of Atlanta, Ga.; four brothers, Edward Parker Jr., Alfred Parker, Calvin Parker and Henry Lee Parker, all of Portsmouth; one grandchild; a special friend, Darlene Sykes; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Third Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Joe B. Fleming. Burial with military honors will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday in Corprew Funeral Home. The body will be taken to the church at 10 a.m. Monday. The family will be at the home of his mother, 1123 South St., Portsmouth, and will assemble there for the funeral service.
