HOME AND GARDEN SHOW OFFERS EXHIBITS, EXPERTS

THE MID-ATLANTIC Home & Garden Show will be presented Friday through next Sunday at the Virginia Beach Pavilion.

More than 200 exhibitors will participate, many offering discounts on products featured at the show. Home-improvement and gardening experts will present lectures and offer advice throughout the weekend.

Robert Stiffler, gardening columnist for The Virginian-Pilot/ Ledger-Star, will speak at 1 p.m. Friday, followed by Andre Viette, renowned perennial grower from Fisherville, Va., at 2 p.m.

Some of the home improvement authorities who will be on hand include Roy Underhill, host of PBS' ``The Woodwright's Shop,'' and Leslie Harrington, color consultant for Benjamin Moore & Co. Ltd.

Other show features include: Smart House technology exhibit by Johns Brothers; Kohler's Remodeling America Kitchen and Bath exhibit, sponsored by Ferguson Enterprises; Internet demonstrations by InfiNet; Ethan Allen's Ultimate Master Bedroom; and A Dream Garden from Home Quarters and Virginia Home & Garden Magazine.

There will also be a Children's World Learning Center providing on-site child care. Children also will have the opportunity to see Merman the Magician and the Easter Bunny in the Easter Wonderland Garden, sponsored by Coleman Nursery.

Hours are noon to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. next Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults; $4 for active military with ID and senior citizens; and free for children 12 and under.

The show is sponsored by Tidewater Builder's Association and The Virginian-Pilot/Ledger-Star. by CNB
