Oscar Lee Boone Sr., of the 600 block of Gary Place, died March 14, 1995 in Winthorpe Hospital, Westbury, N.Y.
Mr. Boone was born in Princess Anne County. He was a member of Masonic Lodge Essene (NU)97 & Essene Lodge Chapter 23.
Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Boone of Westbury, N.Y.; two daughters, Osary Boone-James of Hempstead, N.Y., and Oscelynn Boone-Lowrie of Queens, N.Y.; a son, Oscar L. Boone Jr. of Bronx, N.Y.; his mother, Mary Lena Rouse of Saulada, Va.; eight grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Morning Star Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. C.H. Williams. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. The family will be at 1424 Ellis Ave., Virginia Beach. Viewing will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today.
