Hakeem T. ``Ike'' Sanford, 19, of the 1700 block of Blue Lagoon Court, died March 14, 1995, at home.
He was born in New Brunswick, NJ. He was a delivery driver for Domino's and attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at 1925 Kempsville Road where the Rev. W. Darryl Scott, Sr. presides.
Survivors include his mother, Pamela D. Sanford of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Wakeela and Hadeesha Sawyer of NJ and Hafeeza Sawyer of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Terence and Travis Sanford of Virginia Beach and Jahad Sawyer of N.B., NJ; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Sidney Sawyer.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at P.G.B.C. by the Rev. Ervin T. Vaughn, Sr. Burial will be in Franklin Memorial Park Cemetery, North Brunswick, NJ. Arrangements by Altmeyer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12 to 1 Monday at the church prior to the funeral. Donations are being received at P.G.B.C.
