Sarah M. Gilpatrick, 91, of the 1100 block of First Colonial Road, died March 18, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
Mrs. Gilpatrick was born in Portland, Maine. She had retired from Moses Brown School in Providence, R.I., at the age of 83 after 28 years. She was the widow of James T. Gilpatrick and was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Katherine Kristan of Vernon, Conn.; a son, James T. Gilpatrick Jr. of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren, James Otis Gilpatrick, Kathy McLawhorn and Lori Goode, all of Virginia Beach and David Rothwell of Vernon, Conn., and Cindy Rothwell of Seattle, Wash.; a great-granddaughter, Janet McLawhorn Hill of Virginia Beach; and a great-grandson, Andrew Goode of Virginia Beach.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by the Rev. Terry Clark. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford, Conn. The family will receive friends in the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Heart Fund. The body will be sent from Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, to the Holmes Funeral Home in Manchester, Conn. for services and burial.
