Lloyd R. Eaton, 95, of the 1800 block of South St., died March 18, 1995, in Maryview Medical Center.
Mr. Eaton was born in Holland, Va., on Jan. 5, 1900, and was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was widowed by Mary L. Eaton in 1988. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church and honorary Father of the Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Eaton Todd; a son, Dr. James A. Eaton; a sister, Florine Tinsley and a brother, Mercer Eaton, both of New York City; three grandchildren, Diane V. Todd, Lt. Col. Richard A. Todd II of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Christopher Eaton of Hollywood, Calif.; a son-in-law, Richard A. Todd Sr.; three nieces; five nephews; two great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Zion Baptist Church by the Rev. Joseph L. Roberts. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge.
