ROBERT COUNCIL BRADSHAW

Robert ``Brad'' Council Bradshaw, of Virginia Beach, 73 years old, died Monday, March 20, 1995, in a local hospital.

Mr. Bradshaw was born in Isle of Wight County and then lived in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area for the majority of his life. He was the owner and operator of the restaurants, Brad's of Norfolk and Brad's Second Generation of Virginia Beach, from 1967 to 1987. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a survivor of Pearl Harbor. He was an avid golfer and animal lover.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Alma ``Trixie'' Bradshaw; one daughter, Virginia Harrell of Norfolk; and a daughter and son-in-law, Maureen and Kenneth Ciula, also of Norfolk; two sisters, Geneva Edelmann of Laurel, Md., and Martha Brennaman of Macon, Ga.; one brother, Charles Bradshaw of Chesterfield, Va.; and 11 nieces and nephews.

The family received friends at Kellum Funeral Home, Pleasant Hall, Kempsvillle Chapel, Virginia Beach, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. At the request of the deceased and his family, all funeral services will be private. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, Virginia Beach Chapter, or the S.P.C.A., 3040 Holland Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23456.
