Harold ``Blue'' Edward Vollmer, 39, of Portsmouth, went into the presence of the Lord on March 21, 1995, at 7:33 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Lee Vollmer, and three children, Christina Rae, James Compton ``J.C.'' and Shawn Edward, all of Portsmouth.
He was born in Norfolk. He owned Blue's Lawn Service. He was a very warm, loving person. He loved his family, life, making people smile and working outdoors. He attended Great Bridge Church of God.
He is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Vollmer, and four brothers and two sisters.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a memorial fund in care of the Great Bridge Church of God, 1280 Bells Mill Road, Chesapeake.
Funeral services will be on Friday at 2 p.m. in the Great Bridge Church of God by the Rev. Randy J. Wooden. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, today from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.
