DeShannon A. ``D.A.'' Taylor, 16, of the 900 block of Vincent Court, died March 20, 1995, in Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters.
He was a student at Norfolk Academy and attended Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church in Chesapeake.
He is survived by his parents, Gale D. Taylor and Stanley I. Taylor; sister, Kristin Taylor; and brother, Damien Taylor, all of Virginia Beach; grandparents, the Rev. Gaston Norris Jr. and Thelma Norris, both of Norfolk, and Willie Mae Taylor of Norfolk; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, March 24, by the Rev. James Edwards in Tabernacle Baptist Church, 717 Whitehurst Landing Road, off Providence Road in Virginia Beach. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. The family will be at 5501 Barnhollow Road, Poplar Hall. A wake will be held at 7:30 p.m. today at Norfolk Academy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the D.A. Taylor Memorial Fund, in care of Norfolk Academy. Pretlow & Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is in charge.
