John ``Jack'' Wesley Leggett, 79, died March 22, 1995.
A native of Sedley, he was a son of the late John Melinda and Mae Hart Leggett. Mr. Leggett owned and operated Leggett's Seafood, which he founded in 1935, until his retirement. He was a member of Suffolk Presbyterian Church and the Travelers Protective Association, Post P.
Survivors include his wife, Vennor Boze Leggett; three daughters, Joan L. Elliott of Terrell, N.C., Elizabeth L. Butler of Suffolk and Susan L. Langston of Chesapeake; a son, John Wesley Leggett Jr. of Suffolk; a sister, Mae Leggett Stone of Henderson, N.C.; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at the graveside in St. Luke's Memorial Park Cemetery by Dr. Donald Hammond. The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at his daughter's home, 1101 Pine Valley Drive. Memorial donations may be made to Suffolk Presbyterian Church, 410 N.
