Lloyd Elliott Reid, Sr., 69, formerly of Portsmouth, Va., and now 44 Armstrong Road and a self-employed carpenter, died March 19, 1995, in Memorial Medical Center, Savannah, Ga.
Mr. Reid was born in Portsmouth. He was a former member of New First Baptist Church Taylorsville, Portsmouth, and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include four daughters, Doris Earlene Reid, Cynthia McGuire and Claudine Franklin, all of Portsmouth, and Crystal R. Hickson of Fort Stewart, Ga.; five sons, Lloyd Elliott Reid, Jr. and Harvey Reid, both of Philadelphia, Pa., and James Q. Reid, Michael Reid and Windell Viccillian, all of Portsmouth; a sister, Martha Garrett of Portsmouth; brothers, Ralph Reid, Matthew Reid, Leon Reid and Joseph Reid, all of Portsmouth, and Walter Reid of South Carolina; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Corprew Funeral Home by the Rev. Herman Williams. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will begin at noon Friday at the funeral home, where family and friends will assemble at 9:30 a.m. Saturday for the funeral service.
