Asta Christina Shoemaker, 93, of the 2000 block of Chapel Ave., died March 21, 1995, in a Chesapeake hospital.
She was a native of Portsmouth and was the widow of Emmitt Cecil Shoemaker.
Survivors include a son, Joseph T. Heitman of Chesapeake; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Steve Jones. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
