Linwood Leon ``Khaki'' Brown of the 4200 block of Spring Meadow Crescent, a retired mechanical engineer, died March 21, 1995, in Maryview Medical Center.
Mr. Brown was born in Norfolk County and was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of Willow Grove Baptist Church in Chesapeake. He was a U.S. Army veteran; a graduate of St. Paul College; Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Portsmouth Alumni Chapter, lifetime member.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Washington Brown; a daughter, Cheryl Renee Molock of Laurel, Md.; two sons, Calvin Linwood Brown of Mitchellville, Md., and Alvin Leon Brown of Arlington, Va.; five sisters, Cecilia Perkins and Georgia Welch, both of Chesapeake, Dorothy McCoy of Virginia Beach and Barbara Thompson and Mable Hines, both of Norfolk; five brothers, James Brown of Virginia Beach, Jasper A. Brown and Willie Brown, both of Norfolk, Charlie Brown and Melvin Brown, both of Chesapeake; two grandchildren, Damany Molock and Keena Molock of Laurel, Md.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Willow Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Kevin White. Entombment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The remains will be ready for viewing at noon Friday. The family will assemble at the residence at 11 a.m. Saturday for the processional. Carlos A.
