Edgar Vernon Adams, 80, of the 300 block of Hanbury Ave., died Wednesday, March 22, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mr. Adams was a native of Wilson County, N.C. He was retired from National Trailer Convoy and was a member of Collinswood Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lessie Adams; a daughter and son-in-law, Vivian L. and Bobby S. Edwards of Chesapeake; a sister, Sarah Adams Moore of Lucama, N.C.; two grandchildren, Jeffrey Scott Edwards of Chesapeake and John Lewis Edwards of Virginia Beach; and three great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Andrew and Alex.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Jack W. Stallings. The family will be at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
