Carrie Mae Allen, 57, of the 6400 block of Clare Road, died March 21, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital of cardiac respiratory failure.
Mrs. Allen was born in Washington, Beaufort County, N.C. She was a member of Abyssinia Baptist Church, Norfolk, the Deaconess Board and Senior Choir and was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Tents Lodge.
Survivors include her husband, Russell Lee Allen; two daughters, Ernestine Harris of Washington, N.C. and Carol Vanessa Allen of Norfolk; a son, Cornelius Allen of Norfolk; her mother, Lillie Mae Smith; her father, Cornelius McCullough; grandchildren, Latouria Smith, Jessie Smith, David Smith, all of Portsmouth, Darius Little of Washington, N.C.; four stepsons; nieces; nephew; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in Abyssinia Baptist Church, Norfolk, by Dr. Frank Guns Sr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Cemetery, Chesapeake. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
