JAMES W. SCOTT SR.

James W. ``Buddy'' Scott Sr., 68, of the 3100 block of Hurley Ave., a self-employed artist, died March 21, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. Scott was born in Melbourne, Fla. He was an avid stamp and coin collector.

Survivors include his wife, Therese Scott; a daughter, Cathy S. Brock of Norfolk; three sons, James W. Scott Jr. and Brian R. Scott, both of Chesapeake, and Barry S. Scott of Portsmouth; two brothers, Richard H. Scott of Swansboro, N.C. and Harold D. Scott of Pfafftown, N.C.; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Robert Sandford.
