Sarah Elizabeth Powers, 85, of the 1100 block of Elder Ave., died March 23, 1995, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
She was born in Plymouth, N.C., and was the widow of Paul I. Powers. Mrs. Powers was a member of Indian River Baptist Church in Chesapeake.
Survivors include a son, Leo A. Powers of Jacksonville, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk, by the Rev. Robert E. Jordan. The family will be at Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
