Chesapeake-based Harmony Products Inc. said Friday that the company had a net loss in 1994 of $1,179,000, or 73 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $988,000, or 72 cents per share, in 1993. The organic-base fertilizer manufacturer posted a net loss of $90,000 for the fourth quarter ending Dec. 31, compared with a $184,000 net loss for the same period of 1993. The company said that its sales for the first two quarters of 1994 were well ahead of the previous year, but it had to shut down its plant for cleaning in the third quarter, which resulted in lost sales. TFC Enterprises Inc. may buy credit applications for installment contracts on sales of new Suzuki motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles, according to its Finance Company subsidiary.
Norfolk-based TFC estimated that The Finance Company will receive more than 20,000 credit applications a year for Suzuki vehicles. The Finance Company specializes in providing financing sales of autos and motorcycles to high-risk borrowers. (Staff) by CNB
