One wonders what in the world has happened to your newspaper. It has gotten so depressing and nerve-wracking. It is not a pleasure to read any more.
Pick up the paper in the morning, turn a page, there is O.J., big as life. Turn another page. There is a girl who has slaughtered her family while they slept in their beds. Turn another page. There are two teenagers murdering a 45-year-old man with a cinder block while folks stood by watching. There is the woman who drowned her two sons. There's a storekeeper who has been shot in the heart by two teenagers who took $10 from the cash drawer and fled. Another arrested crack dealer; two folks killed by a drunken driver. So it goes every day.
Can't you folks ever write anything else but crime, murders - dig up old wars, old hurts, depressing news?
Honestly, with spring here, can't you take time to smell the roses?
