Pembroke Mall is an outstanding supporter of the community's blood program. They are always helpful, generous and one of the very best supporters in Virginia Beach, as well as the Mid-Atlantic Region.

In response to ``Signs would encourage potential blood donors'' (letter, Beacon, March 19), the mall does indeed allow signs to be posted directing donors to their twice-monthly blood drives.

Your thoughtful and comprehensive article on Louis Cullipher's selection as ``Agriculture Man of the Year'' in Virginia Beach, complete with a marvelous color Beacon cover of Louis and his grandson on a tractor, is a wonderful tribute to an exceptional man, his marvelous family and an exceptional city staff. Louis exemplifies the biblical admonition, ``He who is of all his brothers greatest, and truly the servant of all!''
