Noah Ernest Bethea Sr., 81, of the 800 block of Denison Ave., a retired longshoreman, died of natural causes March 23, 1995 at 881 Denison Ave.
Mr. Bethea was born in Dillon, S.C. He retired from ILA and was the widower of Myrtle Bethea.
Survivors include five daughters, Mary Alice Hollomon of Pennsylvania, Peggy Washington and Doris Osborne, both of Norfolk, Margie Milton of Florida and Gloria Jackson of Kansas; five sons, Noah Bethea, Sr. and Sheldon Bethea, both of Norfolk, Booker T. Bethea and Kenny Bethea, both of Virginia Beach, and Don J. Bethea of Chesapeake; a brother, Luther Bethea of Hampton, Va.; and 31 grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hale Funeral Home by the Rev. Anthony Moses. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
