Lawrence Hammond Taylor Sr., 90, of the 600 block of Redgate Ave., died March 23, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
He was a native of Akron, Ohio, a retired sales representative for B.F. Goodrich after 46 years and a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church. Mr. Taylor attended the University of Akron and was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.
Survivors include his wife, Violet G. Taylor; a daughter, Zoe Elaine Olson of Portland, Ore.; two sons, Lawrence H. Taylor Jr. of Chesapeake and Stephen E. Taylor of Santa Fe, N.M.; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrews Lutheran Church by the Rev. William H. Battermann. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army, 203 W. 19th Street, Norfolk, Va. 23517. Arrangements by Loving Funeral Home, Churchland.
