Ida L. Parker, 87, of Appomattox and formerly of Portsmouth, died March 27, 1995, in Lynchburg, Va.
Mrs. Parker was born in Wilson County, N.C. and was the widow of Blois T. Parker. She was a Methodist and a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Victory Chapter (NU)16.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean Benfield of Chesapeake and Katherine Hanbury of Havana, Fla.; a son, Morris T. Wagner of Appomattox, Va.; a sister, Gladys Cobb of Rocky Mount, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel, by the Rev. Gene Primm. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. The family will be at the home of Rob and Cherryl Atwood, 505 Aguila Drive in Chesapeake at other times.
