CHARLOTTE G. SMITH

This early Spring day, March 27, 1995, Charlotte Helen Gray Smith passed through transition at a Raleigh hospital.

Her late husband, Guy W. Smith, and Charlotte had lived many years together residing in Portsmouth, Va., before retiring back to their home state of North Carolina.

Charlotte is survived by sisters, Marie Spencer of Raleigh, Ernestine Barnes of Angier; brothers, Daniel Gray of Butner, Mark Gray of Southport; one daughter, Donna Andreozzi of Portsmouth; grandchildren, John A. Gieb Jr. of Cary, Diana L. Feagans of Portsmouth and William H. Brown III of Norfolk; great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Raven, Aurora and Andrew; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends alike will deeply grieve her passing and will seek solace in the many loving memories shared.

Viewing will be held at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary, N.C., from 7 to 9 p.m. today. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Montlawn Memorial Park. Procession to Montlawn will begin at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m.

The family wishes to extend gratitude to the loving nursing staff at Rex (NU)5, Medical Intensive Care, as well as her friends at the Young at Heart Senior Citizens Club.
