WILLIAM E. JOYNER

William Edward Joyner, 74, of the 2600 block of Lake Cahoon Road, a retired mail carrier, died March 29, 1995, in Autumn Care of Chesapeake.

Mr. Joyner was born in Nansemond County, Va., son of the late Goldie Roberts Joyner and Harry Lee Joyner Sr. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church in Suffolk and Bethlehem Ruritan Club, and was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include a niece, Judy J. Grefe, and a nephew, Harry Lee Joyner III, both of Suffolk.

A private graveside service will be held Friday in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1515, Suffolk, Va. 23439.
