MARY G. SMITH

Mary G. Smith of the 1300 block of Stratford St., died March 26, 1995, in Suffolk.

Mrs. Smith was born in Severn, N.C., and was the widow of Boyd Smith. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Severn, N.C., and was retired as a processor from Fass Brothers Seafood Co. in Hampton after 25 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Erma Freeman of Chesapeake; two sisters Lillian Vaughan of Murfreesboro, N.C., and Lina Sue Britt of Portsmouth; two brothers, Gilbert Bynum and Richard Bynum, both of Portsmouth; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of other devoted relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church, Severn, N.C., by the Rev. Elijah Barnes. Burial will be in First Baptist Church Cemetery, Severn. Family and friends will assemble at Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk, from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Family and friends will assemble at 2901 King Arthur Circle, Chesapeake, at 12:30 p.m. Saturday for the funeral processional to the church.
