JOSEPH B. SMITH

Col. (Ret.) Joseph Brothers Smith, 64, of 412 Granada Terrace, Warner-Robbins, passed to his Heavenly Home on Tuesday, March 28, 1995.

A native of Pasquotank County, NC, he was the son of Margaret Brothers Smith of Elizabeth City and the late A.O. Smith. He retired after 26 years with the Air Force and later worked as assistant administrator for 10 years at Houston Medical Center at Warner-Robbins. Smith graduated from Mars Hill College and the Naval Academy at Annapolis, MD. He was an active member of First United Methodist Church, Warner-Robbins, a past president of the Rotary Club and served on the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army.

Besides his mother survivors include his wife, Wynyard ``Wendy'' Arline Smith; three sons, Scott Smith of Manteo, Matt Smith of Birmingham, Ala., and Stephen Smith of Dublin, GA, and two grandchildren, Jason Smith and Nicholas Smith, both of Birmingham.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 am in First United Methodist Church, Warner-Robbins. Graveside services will be at 2:30 pm in Andersonville National Cemetery, Americus, GA with full military honors.
