Watson M. Linton, 82, of the first block of Prospect Parkway, a retired crane operator, died March 28, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
A native of Paint Bank, Va., Mr. Linton retired in 1989 from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Shops 02, 51 and 31. He was a member of Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and NARFE.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva E. Linton; a son, C.A. Linton of Franklin, Va.; a brother, Gilmer Linton of Portsmouth; and two grandchildren, Rebecca Linton and Crystal Saunders.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Dave Klinsing and the Rev. Earl Freeland. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the Alliance Church or to Hope Haven Children's Home.
