600 block of High St. - 38-year-old woman charged with malicious wounding about 12:30 p.m. March 22, accused of punching a police officer in the face and biting her hand, causing tissue and possible nerve damage. Police officer treated at Portsmouth General Hospital and released. Suspect tested for HIV.
ROBBERIES
500 block of London Blvd. - 21-year-old woman said struck in head during attempted robbery about 10:30 a.m. March 25.
Seawall (near 400 block of Water St.) - 64-year-old woman said taking her morning walk when suspect on bicycle demanded her money, then started grabbing ring off her finger. Victim told robber to let go and she would give him the ring.
First block of High St. - 58-year-old said suspect grabbed him by the neck and searched his pockets for money about 11 a.m. March 26.
