Alma Gibson Felton, 97, of Atlanta, Ga., formerly of Suffolk, Va., died March 30, 1995, in Atlanta.
Mrs. Felton was born in Middlesex County, Va. She was a retired teacher for the South Norfolk and Gates County, N.C., public schools, a member of Suffolk Christian Church and the West Memorial Bible Class and the widow of Jethro Jerome Felton. She was the daughter of the late Amelia Hart Gibson and William Franklin Gibson.
Survivors include a son, J. Jerome Felton, Jr. of Atlanta; a brother, Donald Earl Gibson of Suffolk; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home, Suffolk, by Dr. Robert B. Marr and the Rev. Bruce A. Havens. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday and suggests that memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
